About

'Nutrition Security in a Changing Climate' program provides frontline practitioners with the technical frameworks and real-time tools required to address nutrition security in climate-vulnerable regions. Participants will learn to navigate the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) system and utilize projections from the Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET). The curriculum details household-level tracking methods like WFP’s mobile Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping (mVAM) to monitor indicators such as the Food Consumption Score. Additionally, the course introduces biofortification as a climate-smart intervention and examines global policy trends from the SOFI report to help leaders create resilient food systems.
